Dracaena reflexa / Song of India
This houseplant has a wide appeal of its own. Narrow leaves which show various tints of green and off-white, appear in attractive clusters on bendy stems. This houseplant can grow up to 3-4m of height, though it usually doesn’t do so indoors. Being a slow-grower, it’ll take its own time to outgrow the pot you placed it in.
While we lovingly call this the Song of India, it is (so to say) actually being vocalized from various islands of the Indian Ocean! Yes, D. reflexa is native to various islands such as the Mozambique, Mauritius and Madagascar. Let’s re-name it Song of the Indian Ocean from now!
