LUCKY BAMBOO

The Lucky Bamboo plant is an easy-to-care-for houseplant that thrives in indirect sunshine. It is, however, a tropical water lily known as Dracaena Sanderiana. The lucky bamboo plant is a traditional Feng Shui treatment that is claimed to bring good fortune and prosperity to the location where it is planted.

Care tips

  • To prevent algae from growing, clean the container every few months and replace the water once a week. Because it can endure mild shade and indirect sunshine, lucky bamboo is a fantastic indoor plant. When exposed to bright light, though, your bamboo will expand. This doesn't imply you should place your plant in direct sunlight, but it will live longer if you maintain it in a bright setting. Lucky bamboo thrives in both soil and water. If you're growing your bamboo in water, the best option for keeping the roots moist and healthy is to use filtered or distilled water. (Some contaminants in tap water may cause the stalks to burn.) To rehydrate your plant, use only clean water.
  • A lucky bamboo plant normally comes in its own container, frequently on top of pebbles or beads, when you buy or receive one. If your bamboo outgrows its original container, you may need to relocate it to a more suitable container. Before transferring the bamboo plant to the new container, gently dig it up and wash the pebbles. Carefully rebury the roots of the bamboo plant beneath the pebbles to ensure they are completely covered. Maintain a water level enough to cover the roots or else the bamboo stalks become damp.
  • If you're planting your lucky bamboo in soil, make sure the container has sufficient drainage. Although lucky bamboo requires moist soil, too much water in the soil can stunt the plant's growth. When the top inch of the soil feels dry, water it.
